The Moon Mountain District of Sonoma County is a narrow, elevated stretch of land straddling the border between Sonoma and Napa Valley. Its mountainous terrain and increased exposure to sunlight foster the development of intensely concentrated fruit, marked by firm structure and pronounced, robust tannins. The grapes produce wines of deep color and remarkable depth. Low yields, characteristic of this rugged and elevated landscape, further enhance concentration, resulting in heightened aromatic complexity and layered, expressive flavors.
This Wine Club exclusive blend is composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc, and opens with a toasted, oak-kissed nose layered with robust blackberry aroma with subtle black licorice and warmth. The palate is rich and full-bodied, driven by Cabernet Sauvignon’s deep, dark fruit and opulent texture. Cabernet Franc brings structure and poise, adding notes of ripe cherry and a refined elegance through its fine yet rich tannins. The result is a wine of depth and balance, finishing long with a touch of light spice.
